Dr. Lenka Kucerova, M.D. has served the community of Sarnia as a physician for over 13 years and has been a practicing physician in Ontario for over 20 years. Dr. Kucerova received her medical degree from the prestigious Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Upon immigrating to Canada, she continued her education at University of Toronto and then completed her residency in family medicine at Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario. After working in a medical centre in Oshawa for 6 years, Dr. Kucerova expanded into sports medicine and physical rehabilitation, which led her Sarnia to open a physical rehabilitation clinic where she was the medical director for 6 years. During this time, Dr. Kucerova also did locum coverage for many of Sarnia’s family physicians, as well as covering the local walk-in clinic, and also worked in the Lambton College Wellness Centre treating students and staff for almost 8 years. In 2006 Dr. Kucerova began researching and training in cosmetic medical procedures and then opened MedAesthetics in 2007. She also accepted a part time position as a family physician at the West Lambton Community Health Centre, located in the same building. By having such a diverse work environment since being in Sarnia, she has personally met and treated over 26,000 Sarnia-Lambton residents since 1998.
Dr. Kucerova has undergone extensive training and certification in cosmetic medical procedures including practical training from one of the world's leading Botox® injectors Dr. Mark Bailey, and has completed all requirements in the Allergan Clinical Consultants Program, becoming Sarnia Lambton's only Allergan Certified Botox® & Juvederm™ Injector. Dr. Kucerova continues to attend advanced trainings which are only available to top injectors, including injection technique and treatment protocols. Dr. Kucerova is recognized by Allergan Inc. as one of the country's top Botox and Juvederm injectors.
The clinic features two laser platforms offering "Gold Standard" medical lasers for permanent hair removal, removal of pigmented lesions and vascular lesions, acne, rosacea, and skin rejuvenation. Krista Vryburg, RPN is a registered practical nurse who is a certified laser technician for procedures incuding laser hair removal / reduction, treatment of pigmented lesions, rosacea, facial and leg veins, laser facials and laser photorejuvenation, IPL photorejuvenation, Affirm Multiplex fractional laser for wrinkle reduction and skin tightening, as well as the Smooth Shapes laser for cellulite reduction and body shaping. Krista is also certified in facial peels using PCA as well as AFA peels. Krista also provides cryotherapy treatments at MedAesthetics.
Sally Stoesser, RN currently works part time for MedAesthetics doing sclerotherapy injections for leg veins. Sally is also a Sigvaris Certified Fitter for Graduated Medical Compression Stockings. Sally has also been trained in Cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen) treatment for skin tags, warts, actinic keratoses, and other benign skin lesions. Sally as works part time at the West Lambton Community Health Centre.
Tracy Thorner is an aesthetician and former instructor at Lambton College for the aesthetician program. Don Conant was born and raised in Sarnia. After attending University of Windsor and Sheridan College in Oakville, Don started his professional career as a Certified Athletic Therapist at a clinic in Durham College in Oshawa. It was here where Don and Lenka met and began working together developing rehabilitation programs for patients with sports and work-related injuries as well as injuries suffered in motor vehicle accidents. After having great success working together they decided to relocate to Sarnia in 1998 to open Sarnia Sports Medicine & Physical Rehabilitation Centre, which they ran together for 6 years. During this time Don did extensive training in Functional Capacity Evaluations and opened Functional Assessment Services in 2000, offering comprehensive evaluations of physical abilities for patients injured at work, in automobile accidents, and also involved in litigation. Don continued this work until 2008. During the time Dr. Kucerova was researching and training in the cosmetic medicine industry, Don also became involved and helped open MedAesthetics in 2007. Don became certified as a laser technician by Cynosure, Inc., and also received training by Elite laser training, an American company based in St. Louis. Don also received certification from the Rocky Creek Laser College in Denver Colorado. Don’s primary role in MedAesthetics is management, assisting with insurance forms and approvals for therapeutic Botox®, and also does some laser procedures, cryotherapy and assists Dr. Kucerova and Sally Stoesser with some of the procedures. Don is also a Sigvaris Certified Fitter for Graduated Medical Compression Stockings.
