So, who is the right CoolSculpting candidate?
If you are looking for targeted fat reduction, CoolSculpting is an amazing option. It might take multiple treatments
Many of our patients see incredible results after just one treatment, however, to reach their full fat reduction goal more than one treatment may be needed. Most individuals need between 1-3 treatments for best results and this is something your service provider will go over with you at your consultation when making your customized treatment plan.
What areas can be treated?
CoolSculpting can treat areas such as under the chin, the abdomen, the back, the butt (and under it), arms, underarms, the flanks, thighs, knees, etc. If there is enough stubborn fat in an area of your body, chances are we can treat it!
Is it painful?
CoolSculpting isn’t painful but you may not be 100% comfortable the whole time, either. For the first 5-10 minutes before your skin goes numb, you’ll feel something similar to a vacuum pulling on your skin as well as the cold temperature, which is tolerable but might be slightly uncomfortable until the area goes numb.
After the applicator has been removed, your technician will massage the area, which also might feel a bit strange.
Downtime is quite minimal, but you will feel some numbness and tingling in the treatment area for a little while.
Is it instant?
Results won’t be the same day as your body needs the time to shed the fat. CoolSculpting freezes your fat cells at temperatures that eventually kill them, and then those dead fat cells are naturally eliminated from your body over anywhere from 1-3 months.
Is CoolSculpting permanent?
Yes, CoolSculpting is permanent, but you need to maintain your healthy lifestyle. The fat cells that are targeted will be permanently eliminated, but keep in mind if you gain a significant amount of weight new fat can still grow in the area that was treated.
