The Perfect Morning and Nighttime Skincare Guide

Making sure you are using your skincare products properly is so important. Bookmark this article to use as a reminder in the mornings and evenings! If you have never been to MedAesthetics, we offer a free Optic Elite skin analysis where we create a personalized skincare plan based on your unique needs.

MORNING

Step 1: Cleanser

The first step to a glowing complexion is to cleanse the skin of dirt, dead skin cells, and impurities. This will allow the active ingredients to absorb deeper, improve texture, and reduce buildup in your pores.

Step 2: Toner

This step is to balance the pH in the skin. Keep in mind this step is optional as toner may not be the best fit for you. The experts at MedAesthetics can help determine what is best for your skin type.

Step 3: Eye Care

Only use products indicated for the eyes in this area. The skin around our eyes is thin and sensitive and needs to be treated with care.

Step 4: Serum

Rule of thumb is to always go from the thinnest to thickest products. Your serums often have the highest amount of active ingredients which will help achieve your skincare goals.

Step 5: Moisturizer

Moisturizers lock in hydration and help preserve the integrity of your skin’s barrier function, reducing inflammation, sensitivity and dehydration. Essential for healthy skin!

Step 6: Mineral SPF

Mineral SPF should be applied daily as the last step of your routine before applying makeup. If you are outside or in direct sunlight you must reapply every few hours.
